Pinarello Dogma Carbon Frame Set/Frame Fork SP-HS
The beginning of a new generation of frames that will revolutionize the concept of racing bicycles. DOGMA 60.1 is the fi rst completely asymmetric racing frame. The parts on the right side have different shapes and sections than the parts on the left. This is a true innovation in the cycling world and the point of no return for fans of extreme performance. The technical aspects are explained in the introduction to this catalogue. The frame was developed starting from the highly successful Prince, Best Racing Bike of the World (USA) for 2008 and 2009 and Bike of the Year in Italy for 2008 and 2009. The fork, the rear and the basic shapes are derived from this very fortunate frame but with the application of new, incredible technologies: the completely asymmetric design, the EPS Wrinkle Free System construction process and the material used – the exclusive 60HM1K carbon by Torayca® with Nanoalloy™ that prevents sudden breakage. Pinarello Prince Carbon Frame Set/Frame Fork SP-HS
The features of Prince are best summarized in the enthusiastic comments received from a happy Prince owner: Unbelievable! Prince gives you completely new emotions that literally infl ame demanding cyclists: incredibly easy to handle when entering high speed curves, absolutely explosive on violent accelerations on straight stretches or coming out of a curve, and when you stand on the pedals the bicycle feels like a motorbike, gripping the road with all the power of your legs. The 2010 Prince is equipped with the new Shimano Di2 electric groupset, in the version called Prince+. A 54 size Prince complete with Charisma wheels and MOst accessories weighs approximately 6700 grams, while the frame alone of the same size weighs about 900 grams. The expected success of the FP3 and the many requests received to try a carbon version and different components led to the development in late 2008 of the FP7 46HM3K. The main difference from the previous version is in the material: 46HM3K, a high-performance fibre that makes the best of th FP3’s extraordinarily successful geometry. Built and designed using Pinarello LAB’s SOE System (Simulation, Optimize, Evolution), the FP7 is compact and harmoniously shaped. The FP7 mounts the new Onda FPK fork, derived from the FPX used on the Prince, with 1 1/8” to 1 1/4” coning on the fork head. ONDA FPK rear monostay, asymmetric rear forks, and our well-tested oversize MOst Croxover bottom bracket. The bare 54 size frame weighs approximately 1050 grams.
